Dicentra spectabilis 'Alba' - 2017 (Dicentra spectabilis)

I have decided that if it's already growing in my garden, I'm not going to change the name just because of some pesky taxonomist. Lamprocapnos indeed.

I had no idea the name had changed Andrew ... in my head it will always be a Dicentra ... even though they don't thrive in my garden at all!

Dicentra to me too. Mine is only a few inches high yet - the pink one is more advanced than the white one but its in a sunnier spot so perhaps that's why.

Why on earth do they feel the need to change it's name ,and not a nice one at that ! It will stay Dicentra to me too..

We do not do well with these plants, unfortunately, because I love them, but the common blue leafed, white flower ones spread all over the garden....
