An interesting one, normally enamel is put on copper but where does the glass fit in, is it just a sheet to protect the art work.
Would like to see a close up.

Meadowland it does look lovely,But still struggling with the technique,so stencils are unknown material, laid on the copper and the the whole thing heated until the glass fuses to to the copper?,reason it is of interest I started life as a Coppersmith and by the time i was in my mid twenties had made many decorative pieces for churches and boats and in more recent times I tried enameling on copper.But that was an amateur project.

I am for the most part talking throughout the 1960s into the early 70s and although there were some photos taken they were mostly by my employer then.Around that time the demand for copper and brass diminished and from then on the use of it became much more limited.In 1975 I set up my own Business which was mostly working with Stainless Steel.
What I do have is my practical piece I made for my City and Guilds exam in 1958 a Measuring jug which over the last 10 years I have slowly decorated, it may never be finished.I will take a few photos of it shortly that will provide with an idea of the shapes we used to form by hand.almost entirely without machinery.
