Amelanchier (in the front).

These are so beautiful Katarina. I gave my Mum one at least ten years ago, it's about 8ft tall and is a picture both spring and autumn, well worth planting.

Hi Janey, mine is growing very slowly, I do not know why. This has 4 years (in my garden) and is still the same.

I think Mums is the Lamarkii Kat, there are many different types apparently, do you feed it at all?

Mine is Lamarkii as well. I do not feed it, the soil there is quite fertile (it was apple garden for many years). Do you think it needs fertilization?

I'm wondering if it would spur it on.....

I should try. Do you use common fertiliser or any special?

No Kat, Mum hasn't done anything to her Amelanchier for years, she is 92 now, but each spring and autumn it is spectacular!
