It has lovely flowers but mine has never produced any. My daughter planted one in her garden in Somerset and it flowered well every year.

It looks quite spectacular when it flowers.

I have seen so many in flower, we have 4 and they have never flowered, not one of them!!!!!

I failed to cut it back last year could it be it flowers on second year growth,not sure

The new growth is red and it looks like your flowers may be growing from green foliage??? would that be second year growth?
