I am turning my small front garden into a wild flower space and the grass is already 2 feet tall. There is a spirea bush in the middle and creatures ( foxes?) are tramping a pathway through the grass to hide underneath the bush. How can I stop this without cutting the bush down?

could well be cats. Keep going out at different times of the day and see if you can distrurb them and sprinkle pepper/chilli etc around the shrub.

Do an early cut, and remove the grass, which will take away the cover, and be part of the 'meadow' preparation, in time for a late summer sowing of wildflowers for next season's display. Just the right timing! Do add yellow rattle, because that'll parasitise the grasses and reduce their size next year allowing the other wildflowers better establishment

How do I say thanks?
