(Pity Peter can't spell - lol) - it's called 'Oxalis triangularis subs.papilionacea 'Atropurpurea' because it had a name change for some reason...used to be called Oxalis regnellii 'Atropurpurea'. I am looking out for one because I think it's beautiful!

They are easy to divide( the plant shown would make about 12 good pots of plants. Cut off the top let it dry out ,tap it out and you will find dozens of small corms they will all grow!! It is also reasonably hardy, but it does make a very attractive house plant, loathing hot sunshine.

Hi Minnie, I think it's Purple Oxilis, but only because I recognize it from Polly's question in August :o) http://www.growsonyou.com/question/show/141-can-you-help-identify-this
