A close up of the leaves would help.

It's a little hard to see, but it looks like the leaves come in pairs (opposite). If so, it might be a privet of some kind.

Could it be a type of prunus.

Hi, yes it looks like Prunus Lusitanica to me, {portuguese laurel}, Derek.

Thanks to everyone who commented I have have added a closer lokk photo if this helps anyone to ID but I do think it is Portuguese Laurel x
