Hello, someone told me there are roses that don't lose their leaves. Are they having a joke at my expense or are there some varieties that don't shed their leaves?

A lot of the ramblers (off the of the top of my head I can think of Emily Gray and Dr Van Fleet) tend not to lose of their all of their leaves but I wouldn't like to say that they're evergreen. They can look quite tatty during winter - probably worse than if they shed every thing.
Some of the roses specifically bred for hedging may retain more leaves.

Never heard of these so Googled Evedrgreen roses. - there are lots of entries so have a look.
