My husband bought sweetcorn plants from the market, there are two plants in each segment of the tray 12 plants in all. He is driving me nuts wanting to know if the should separate the plants or plant them as they are 2 to a block?

I told him to separate them and plant them in a square 3 x 4.

Anyone have the definitive answer please?

I would plant the block of two together, and snip off the one that proves to be the weaker of the two (which will become apparent once they get going) to avoid disturbing the roots. But I've never grown sweetcorn, so see what others say.

How do I say thanks?
