all the flowers have dropped off my impatiens ,what could have caused this.

Either drought or cold weather would be my first suspects. Lack of nitrogen can do that, too, though that's a more gradual process. Often new plants bought blooming in the garden center will drop all their flowers shortly after planting, then grow new ones once they adapt to their new home. Also check the drainage--Impatiens likes water, but it also needs good aeration around the roots.
