Can some kind person tell me something about this flower,it started growing in my garden last year and this year there are many more.
I did not plant them,but,I like them as they are real pretty.

keep the ones you like grub out those you don't. They don't mind growing in poor soil and any position in sun or part shade.
I love them and you can get a wide range of colours.

This flower has now finished flowering,do I cut the stems doen (quite tall) or just dead head.Thanks

that depends. if you leave them they will set seed and in 2-3yrs time you will have lots more plants in flower.
I tend to leave them and when they flower I dig out the ones I don't like or if there are 2 many of the same type.
if you don't want to wait to see what develops, dead head them by cutting down to the base.

I did think that by leaving then,will get more next year from the scattered seeds.Last year I only had a couple,this year lots.Well pleased as they pretty.

Aquilegias, or Columbine. Seed everywhere, different colours. Some one near you must have grown some.
