We planted a sorbus copper kettle tree a month ago. It is bare at present with buds. When can I expect it to produce leaves? I'm hoping it has not died. Piggott49

Hello Pickles! I'm not sure where you are in the UK, but my Sorbus trees are only just starting to break bud here in Eastern Scotland. Good luck...Sorbus are so beautiful! :)

Bud burst should be soon but if you are worried scrape a little bit of bark back with your thumb nail. if it is green underneath it is still alive. if brown that section is dead.
