Hey.. Found lots of bugs which some have turned into green caterpillars on new shoots on my Red Robin plants there eating them quickly, how can I get rid of them safely please? I tried the soap method but still they come? Help!!!

Can you use a high pressure spray from a hose pipe to knock them to the ground so the birds can eat them?

If not then the only recourse is a suitable insecticide spray.
Any chance of a photo of the caterpillars and the 'bugs'? They may not even be the same insect so I am loathe to suggest that you kill them as some may be beneficial. But the choice is yours.

I have never seen photinia attacked by caterpillars before so if you could send some pics it would be useful.
