Carrot seed tape. I’ve never been very successful sowing carrot seed either loose or mixed with sand – I get either bare patches or many seeds germinating too close to one another.
So this year I will try either seed tape or pelleted seed. Does anyone have experience of using these methods? Thanks, Roy.

I would have a look at the inexpensive seed dispensers. I have to admit that I've not used one but if you are having trouble sowing carrot seed then an internet search on how to use them might just do the trick.

Another one here who tried, and failed, using the carrot seed tape.
The trouble I had was getting it to stay in place because being carrots you can't really bury it too deep and nearer the surface it dislodges, or like SBG, dries out

I tried making my own carrot tape but had the same experience as Grandad_gardener, so I'm going back to mixing the seed with sand again this year. I've never had much success with growing my own carrots but won't give up ... yet! Lol.

I found pelleted seed fine but not the tape, they dried out too quickly [that could be my fault though]
