i have a tall(approx 15 feet) cabbage palm growing approx 2 feet from the rear wall of my house. there is no sign of any cracks ect. the tree has been there over 20 years. could this be a problem in the future? thank you. andy read

If the house is a modern one, with decent foundations, there is no danger. As Volunteer says, the roots on Cordyline are not huge anyway.

I don't think so. The roots don't go far. The plant will benefit from the shelter that the wall can give it in winter.
