Hi. I'm having a great deal of trouble locating white dead nettle (Lamium album). I understand it is a very important plant for bumblebees, but this plant is so difficult to locate amongst the red and other varieties. Apparently the "white dead nettle" is especially suitable for bumblebees and other varieties are more suited to honeybees and pollinators with smaller tongues. Can anyone provide any insight? Thanks :).

If you just wanted a white flowered dead nettle, look for Lamium 'White Nancy' - white splashed leaves, white flowers, very attractive to bees - although most of the Lamiums are popular with bees anyway.

I doubt that you would buy this as a plant, Jon, better to look for wild flower seed sellers.
