This year finally got some portions of purple sprouting broccoli. They have flowered and have now produced thin bean like pods. Are these edible or can these be dried for replanting next year?

Next year, if you cut off the flowers when they start to open you can keep the plant producing a bit longer. Cut down to the next shoot.

Thank you Moon Grower and Marshmallow. Have alot to drying out of pods to do. Also will bear in mind about cutting off the flowers for next year. :-)

You can dry the pods and remove the, very fine, seed for sowing next year. Wouldn't advise eating them/
