Mulching mowers

Mulching mowers do not pick up the mowings, they cause thatch and you take the grass into the house on your feet. In hot weather you will have brown hay on top. Buy a Hayter 56 and have plenty of mowings to mulch or compost.

Yes certainly agree with Doctorbob not used a lawnmower but used a ride - on with this facility that claimed to fire back the clippings into the grass as it was cut ..with short dry grass it gave an acceptable finish but with anything else it left large clumps .If you are able to cut the grass regularly and guarantee the right weather they probably work fine.

The ideal one you would be able to switch between mulching and collecting as our weather so variable .. I believe there are models available that do both .If you search mowers that mulch and collect it will give you some idea of price ranges.
