Garden Borders

By anget

Earlier I put on an ‘overview’ photo of our garden taken from a bedroom window. As it was a bright day for taking pics. today, I thought I would do a short blog. on our borders. Not by design there seems to be a lot of purples and oranges out there.

One of the newer borders nearest the house, planted a season ago.

Same border, other side.

Back border, south-facing.

View across from greenhouse to west-facing border.

Greenhouse (apologies for washing!)

Path down to ‘wildy’ corner and compost bins.

Most borders have been planted within last 3 years. There was very little here worth keeping. You will see I am a complete victim of overplanting.

Thank you Anget for the garden viewing..The path of arches I like very much.Your garden is a good size and I don't recognise any overplanting.

don't know about overplanting if so I am guilty as well because if I see a space I will put something in it :), but a lovely garden and I like the arches as I have one my self, or at least I am sharing it with the wisteria now.

overplanting helps keeps weeds down so not a fault in my book. garden looks lovely.

It isn't overplanted, but looks nice and full. That's better than bare earth. Your garden looks a very relaxing place :)

Thank you for the kind comments.

Hywel: the wildlife makes it more relaxing. We try and encourage the birds with feeding, so they are less spooked by us now and we can sit and watch them come and go. The nos. visiting increase each season especially as the cover increases.
