I feel Autumn is on its way. The evening light on the borders is very soothing…

I'm finding the humid weather here in the south hard to deal with at the moment. Tend to go out to look around first thing and in the evening. Love the amber light.
Thanks for your comments.

Lovely photos Ange. Yes it’s too hot to be outside (I just dash into my greenhouse to water seedlings then dash out again). It’s pleasant to sit out in the shade once evening comes though, and watch the birds.

Yes, Sheila. We have a new pair of spotted woodpecker visitors who seem unphased by us as long as we sit still. I get very excited when they turn up. Sunflower hearts again!!

Very beautiful, Anget..your garden is looking so pretty in the evening light. I have to agree, I’ve noticed it’s getting darker much earlier now..
I like the dusky light the late evening brings to the garden.
Just as the sun is almost down and the garden lights are coming on..
Early morning too, that freshness and light.
It’s been very warm...

Agree the light is lovely and peaceful. Mellow's the word!
But please lets not think about Autumn yet....

Stera: late summer heatwave continues here, but I scent Autumn..

Kate: sat out tonight 'till it got dark. Then saw the hedgehogs emerge onto the grass. We have 2 regulars, but possibly more that we don't see.

How lovely. We had hedgehogs in our old garden, but not in our “downsized” one sadly. But I still enjoy sitting out at dusk when the temperature is cooler and there was a lovely breeze this evening.

Sheila, they've made scrapes under the fences and can also exit via the gate! They've made a flattened 'path' through the wormwood in our 'Wildy Corner'. One was out last night when we were having a glass of wine in the fresher evening air...

I love those evenings, Ange..warm and balmy. Waiting on the nighttime wildlife waking up.

Lovely borders. Yes, the early mornings & evenings are the best times. No hedgehogs here though, pity.

Yes, we're lucky to have them. They're enjoying the leftover cat food!
