Way back in August,2011,Denise kindly gifted me ,3 roots, tubers ? of Day Lilies. sorry not sure of the correct term for these…
I was informed they may take time to establish, and sorry to say ,I thought they hadn’t…till last week ! so,eight years later, one has finally made a spectacular appearance ! The saying goes, that patience is a virtue seldom found in women…complete Rubbish ! ..I prefer to say, everything comes to those who waits..even if it IS eight years :o)

Thank you Denise ,it was worth the long wait xx

Thank you Chris,it's so pretty, isn't it? A shame the other two didn't survive, but pleased this one finally decided to show off :o) I have a feeling ,that in hindsight,I could have possibly disturbed them in dormancy, whilst digging that border over ? in fact,a distinct possibility,as there are bulbs planted in that area...Oops !

Great - maybe I should hang on with a couple of mine for a year or two longer then - hope springs eternal...

Thank you ladies..and it has been more good luck than good management,I assure you ! Lol the times it's been dug over,or things planted there,it's a miracle this one survived at all ! It really does deserve to be looked after better ,after it's struggle to survive..:o)
