Corydalis flexuosa 'China Blue'

Kevock Feb. 2019.

Position: partial shade
Soil: moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil
Rate of growth: average
Flowering period: April to July
Hardiness: fully hardy

Fern-like foliage, often with a bronze flush, forms a spreading mat that is topped with clusters of prominently-spurred, sky-blue flowers in late spring and early summer. A pretty plant for the woodland floor, or front of a partially shaded border.

Garden care: Cut back stems to near ground level during November, earlier if self-seeding is a problem. Lift and divide congested colonies in the autumn.
