Attractive foliage ...

When I bought it a month ago I didn't know our town council were be going to be planting this one also in the tubs at the top of the High Street! 😂

Great minds think alike!

That they do, Shirley! 😂👍 My plant doesn't seem to have any buds at present. They are deep red with a mauve skirt. It seems it's a hardy variety, too! So I won't have to give it so much protection over the winter then! 👍

David, I used to have many Fuchsias in pots on the patio or around the garden. Sadly, one by one they developed Fuchsia Gall Mite and just wilted and died ... :o(

Sad for you that your poor Fuchsias should have had the Gall Mite! I've not seen it here & hope never to see it either!

David, I was really upset at having to bin them all as they are one of my favourite plants. I shall admire the photos you post on here ... :o)

Most of my Fuchsias are flowering now but 'Tom West' still doesn't seem to be forming buds as yet! Never mind, the plant is growing well & no doubt when it is ready it will produce flowers!

I've seen a plant or two the council gardens planted with buds but no open flowers. Perhaps when I see them next time they will have opened. There are dozens of this variety in different beds & borders around town.

I bet they will all look lovely when in bloom ...

It seems I will still have to wait some time as I don't see any buds for the time being! The plant itself looks heathy & growing well so it's a case of waiting till it's good & ready.

I bet the wait will be worth it!

I've seen a few open flowers on a couple of the plants of this variety that the council gardeners have planted around town. The flowers are nothing remarkable &, if it weren't for the leaves, I don't think most people would give them a 2nd glance!

That's such a shame ... :o(

I've uploaded a few pictures of this Fuchsia now blooming on the balcony.
