It'll be a pot specimen I'm afraid as I can't risk it with our winters..........

Do you know Manfreda elongata? That was another buy from the same nursery.

You would be shocked to see how many species of succulents and Agave-like plants we grow here. I've seen many Manfreda elongata here. I think it's sold as Agave elongata.

It could probably still be sold as Agave elongata as it was only recently reclassified.
I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that Agave are monocarpic and Manfreda are polycarpic..............

Meanie,

Some species of Agave are monocarpic (probably many species). I know the very, very common Agave attenuata branches out from the trunk, after flowering.
