Thanks Val,I have been debating for a while ,whether to to dig up one of the Roses I have, next to the Pieris,as that is the only suitable place for it,and it would make a nice contrast...or it might have to go in a bigger pot instead :o)
Is your birthday today,or was it yesterday? Happy birthday,or a belated one,:o) xx

I've put this on to my faves Bloomer. That is one of the nicest planting combos I've seen for a long time!

Oh,thank you Karen..that is kind of you..I rearranged it a bit last year..as you do ! Lol..It's a shady north facing border,so they do well there, and I have them at the other end of this border too..all from two little plants, gifted to me from Cinderella a few years ago :o)

Thanks Ydd..My Camelia is in the centre of this border, and I'm awaiting an Astilbe to bloom in front of it.. It grew so big in a pot last year,I had to get OH to chop it in half to get it out.,and planted both halves, side by side :o) One is romping away, the other is just appearing..It seems we all have a best side,so they say. ..lol. Also a kind gift, but from Carole..:o)

Thank you Carole..They do really well there,,better than the one in my Chimney pot, which you gave me from your 'Blackberry Jam',which was eaten this year by b....y Vine Weevils ! first time I've had them..isn't it strange that the ones in the ground haven't been affected ? ...and Karen,I believe that one originated from you ? You do get around a bit,or your plants do :o)

It's today Sandra... think Carole knows my age, but being very kind to me!!!Is your Heuchara Marmalade by any chance, got one very similar, who's doing better in the border than it's mate, who's in a pot....

Lovely planting style Sandra - you clever girl! :o)

Your combo is very popular Bloomer - I love it too :)

Age is just a number,Val..I think we should be able to reverse it,when we feel like it :o) It is our Nephews birthday today too,so lots of good wishes going across to Perth,Oz,where he now lives..
The dark Heuchera is a cross between Marmalade and Liquorice,so Cinderella told me..so I named it Liquorlady ..Lol.and the other one is,if I remember rightly is Georgia Peach..It's much more vibrant where I have it now..too much sun, where I had it at first..

Thank you Shirley..nice to get it right for once ! :o)

Thank you Amy,and glad to hear you are back with us at last..frustration all in the past now :o) x
Thank you Neellan, pleased you approve..and I agree ,the Acer will look nice there..Can't get to plant yet,as I have a Rose heading for the skies just now..too many prickly thorns to negotiate round.! x
Same here,Val..what did we do without this site? probably too much housework :o) x

Lovely colours Sandra, I would put your acer in a nice pot until you decide where to put it. I had two in pots for many years, before releasing them into the garden, and they were quite content:-)

Thank you Ba,It is in a pot,,but it's out of shot..maybe I will keep it in this one for another year,as it's still quite small, and overwinter it in the Conservatory again..thanks for the advise..I'm just a tad impatient..:o).
