The formation of buds is underway in August. I bought it in a rhododendron sale this spring. It is much bigger and healthier plant now.

yes post the photos in Spring , great lookin plant will you keep a pot or plant out ?

Right now I still have it in the pot, Gg. I will wait till spring to see the exact colour and how it will fair our winter. Then decide where to put it. It is a dwarf rhododendron so it could look nice in a pot (little nicer than the one I have it in now. :>)
