River Gardens Belper

Love that band stand Linda , if I'm ever passing through again I shall deff. stop .. :o)

This is only a small garden area but there is a nice space for the children to play in. This bandstand is used at the weekends in the summer. There are rowing boats for hire on the river in the summer, and I do wish they would knock the old tearooms down (falling down now) and build a proper tearooms with a dining area that they could hold functions as well ie wedding parties. If the new one had been built Gerry and I would have had lunch or coffee in there many times. Of course there are the Peregrines on the mill as well and wildfowl on the river. Belper is a lovely place to live and the people are very friendly.

Somewhere we have never been,Linda..looks a lovely place..We have a new tearoom in one of our local parks,and another smaller one is being built at the other end..It has made such a difference,as the Friends of the Park ,who are all volunteers,make more money for improvements..and lovely cakes ! :o) x

Lovely to have a park with good facilities reasonably near to where you live. The cafe in my favourite park has been rebuilt on a different place in the park. Not yet been able to go and see the new arrangements, as OH now needs so much care. Derbyshire is a wonderful county to live in. Wonderful scenery and walks, caves and caverns and pretty places.

Lovely to have people who volunteer for the café Bloomer. I wish we had somewhere to go in this park. The old building is falling down. It looks a real eyesore. A new place to eat and drink really needs doing now but when?

Hi Dorjac Sorry to hear your husband isn't well and needs your care. My husband has been a blessing in taking care of me over all my operations, but my legs are getting stronger now and I can walk without the crutches. I am getting out now for short walks in the fresh air and it's so lovely. We love Derbyshire for it's diversity in nature and scenery.
