Edibles Area with a lot more blueberries than last year!

Also in this area I have purple potatoes, purple sugar-snap peas, multi-coloured radishes, rocket, carrots (purple of course) and spring onions. Inside the greenhouse, no tomatoes this year, but five baby cucumber plants.

How do you keep the birds off the blueberries in such a way that you have access yourself to pick them??

Fantastic area you’ve made here, Karen, even down to the structure and colour of the troughs/beds.

Thank you both. Stera, I have not yet had a bird issue with the Blueberries, but if I did, I would drape a horticultural fleece over them and peg it down with tent pegs or bricks.

What a glorious veg area.

I don't recommend using fleece at all - I did it last year and scorched the bush so badly I thought I'd lost it. I'm going to try close netting this year.
