Oh dear, it's a Box-tree Moth (Cydalima perspectalis). A bit of a pest if you grow Box.

Thank you so much Muddywalter for identifying this moth.
It is not in my Collins field guide as it is a 1993 edition. I followed the link you gave & read up about it, then trotted down the garden to my one & only box plant & yes, I found very tiny eggs between two leaves, they are now drowning in the water butt. Don't know where the moth is at present, I thought it was quite attractive so pity it is the dreaded box pest. I hope your hedge will stay free, Kate, keep a look out!
