Pyrostegia venusta - Flame Vine

This is a spectacular flowering vine that bloom only in Winter. It will grow up a tree to more than 60 feet/ 19 meters tall. Photo taken at Paradise Point Resort on Feb. 22, 2009.

I'm sure this vine will grow in Fiji. It is a tropical vine from Brazil...it is very spectacular in bloom. This is not the best photo though.
I have seen them grown up very tall palms to more than 60 feet/19 meters.

Maybe they do grow here, but I haven't seen any Delonix or is it that I just haven't noticed, they are beautiful!
