I used to sit on the floor and let them climb into my lap.

lol My Friends Dad used to Keep a Nanny & Kid for Milk & when he`d milk her the Kid would stand on his back lol :)

They were great fun to keep and were full of energy.

Oh they're sweet looking little guys! my cousin told me of his neighbour who had a Nanny and a Billy..and hence...some of these sweet little creatures too......the Billy would eat anything...even body filler out of the fender of an old farm truck! Don't think he lived very long...but the nanny and her kids were almost like pets...They needed the milk for a baby with cow's milk allergies.

Even though I don't keep goats anymore, I still buy goats milk.

I tried goat cheese and I found the flavour not to my liking... perhaps I should have waited until I was very hungry to try it...as hunger is the best seasoning, so they say! anyway...I had the same response to the smell of the milk. Those little faces are really sweet, aren't they? I've noticed that kids, lambs, calves and rabbits have a sense of fun...they frisk and play.. and it makes us laugh to see it... they are so full of life and so happy of it!

goat milk does have a certain taste and smell, suppose it's an acquired taste. I've been buying Goat Gouda cheese lately, and enjoy that. It's very creamy and rich tasting.

Goats cheese has got more of a sour taste, but it's lovely and creamy. Goats produce a milk that is very adaptable and young animals of other species losing their mothers or being rejected by them can be fed on it.
Sometimes human babies are fed on it when they cannot take their mothers milk. The fat content is different to cows milk and doesn't separate out so easily. It's easier to digest and is more gentle on the stomach.
