Manzano Rojo (Capsicum: Pubescens)

Manzano means 'apple' which describes the appearance of the fruits - like small apples. Like its cousin the Rocoto, this variety has unusual black seeds which are very hard (like apple pips) and should be removed before eating. Origin: Mexico. Scoville units: 35,000-50,000
