This was a volunteer. I find Thai Basil very bitter & pungent - not my style of cooking. Makes a nice ornamental plant nonetheless & nothing seems to bother it.

Years ago Basil was used in spells for girls who did nt have a boy friend to pick a Basil leaf and place between pages of a book she would get a boyfriend.
