Ooh-er, you're sure that's not a Triffid! :o)

No, it's not a Triffid! At least I don't think so! 😂😂😂 It didn't try to sting me at any rate! 😂😂😂 Anyway it's in a nice big pot for a year or two together with its 2 sisters! 😂

David, I remember eating some Dragon fruit once but found it completely flavourless!

Dragon fruit has nothing to do with these trees, Shirley, but I suppose you already know that!

The original Dragon tree my wife bought at least 15 years ago has never flowered & I don't ever expect it too! All my cutting come from this original tree.

Crikey, David, that's a very generous plant from 15 years ago!

I've taken more cutting over the years but inspite of people saying they root very easily I never could get them to root - in compost! But now they root ever so easily in water & so that's how I've ended up with about a dozen Dragon Trees in the last 3 years!

I gave one away a few months ago & I shall have to do something with the others next year, especially the 3 or 4 3-year-olds!

This particular one is just 1 of 5 or 6 cutting I took back in March this year! I repotted 3 of them at least a month ago but I thought the 3 I repotted last week would be happy in their pots till next spring but - as you've seen for yourself - I was mistaken! 😂

Wonderful propagating skills!

Thanks, Shirley, but I can't take much credit for sticking them in a jar of water for a couple of months while they got on with making roots! 😀

Crikey! It was keen to grow wasn’t it! You’ve definitely got wonderful skills there with propagating, despite what you say!

Thank you Shirley & Kate for your lovely comments! It seems I haven't lost all my propagating talents as it was beginning to seem when I failed to get any of the lots of Fuchsia cutting I took in the summer! 😀
