My Helenium is still flowering, would it be best to cut it down or leave it to carry on flowering?

I'd enjoy the flowers but dead head so it doesn't waste energy trying to form seed.
I am very envious as all mine have stopped flowering.

Keep an eye on the new shoots at the base, though. You'll want to cut last year's stems off at the base while you can still find the base.
