Phlox paniculata 'Pink Eye Flame'

Phlox paniculata 'Pink Eye Flame' (Phlox paniculata (Perennial phlox))

Planted as a 'match' with the Astilbe. I know that Phlox can cope with some shade.

That border is on the dark side - it needed something bright there. Still needs more, though...but the Poplar tree roots are just under the surface of the soil, so I can't plant anything much. :-(

Lovely pink.

Would it be possible to raise the level of the soil in that area?
Perhaps make it a raised bed?
Sorry didn't mean to give you extra work :~))

Good thinking, Ian - but not possible, as the border is full of shrubs further along! (and three tall Poplar trees)

What else?

See who else is growing Phlox paniculata (Perennial phlox).

See who else has plants in genus Phlox.

This photo is of "Phlox paniculata 'Pink Eye Flame'" in Spritzhenry's garden
