It looked like "rainbow" glass. Sticki. Some sort of semitransparent glass.

It looks like Gothic Revival architecture from outside. I have never been inside, Sticki. But the church is quite new, not older then 100 years.

have you ever read 'pillars of the earth' by ken follet? its a long book, a story woven around how cathedrals were built and developed?

There were many books written on this topic. Specially this one I didn´t read. Is it good?

i really liked it, a tv program/series was also made but nothing like as good as the book.

The brick work looks beautiful.

You're right, Klahanie, the brick work combined with the gorgeous glass...the two really compliment eachother well and each would be less without the either. My goodness this is gorgeous!

It is beautiful I love lead glass work on windows I have used small mirrors with lead work and coloured the glass with glass paints ,they look quite nice ...

its the soft metal that is making the join between the pieces of glass kat, they also use it on church roofs!!

I know what is lead. But you mean lead is added into the melted glass and it makes the glass to have such rainbow colours?

I can take a photo Klahanie , I will take one for you .. I,ve taken a couple but am finding it difficult to take ones of the mirror I like best as it is reflecting a photo of me back in it .. I'll put the ones on that I can take photos of !
