Steading garden

Another view of the wee garden beside the steading. It was taken a little earlier in the summer when the geraniums were out. In time the two long black poles at the gate will form uprights for a pergola which will carry roses over the path.

A beuatiful natural garden. Did you make it or professional?

Both, as I am lucky enough to be a gardener. It is a double edged sword though. I am at home today as the ground is too hard with frost to do anything useful. When the better weather comes I will have to snatch moments at home in the garden as I shall be busy doing other people's gardens.

:) May I ask you for written consultation in the spring? Just to recommend me combinations of flowers with high grasses.

Yes, no problem. Is it a 'prairie' style that you are looking for. If this is of interest you could look at the work of Piet Oudolf. He has written widely and also has a website, Oudolf.com. Have a look...and let me know what you think.
