About me

Hello, My wife and I garden in the tundra region in north Aberdeenshire. Our winter is what you might describe as protracted. However, once the weather begins to improve during May then we benefit from long, long days. We catch up quickly then. We tend to sow our first seeds in the vegetable garden after the first week in April. Peas and beans are started in the greenhouse in cut-in-half loo rolls and transplanted in May.
We have an asparagus bed which crops well despite the latitude. Soft fruit does well but we are too exposed for our apple trees to flourish. Can't have everything!!
