Apple cucumbers

I have grown an apple cucumber in a grow bag - bit of a late starter as it didn't do well in my mini greenhouse so I dragged it outside. Its got a cucumber but I have no idea when it will be ripe. It's pale green just like an apple and about the same size. Any ideas anyone?

Yes you're right - weather is changing although it has several more babies growing and loads of flowers. Unfortunately I haven't got a camera but will see what I can do. It looks like a pale green apple - I have tasted one before and it is no different from the usual cucumber taste, just rather strange and exotic looking!!

Never heard of an apple cucumber, but veggies aren't my strong point. You will have to pick it soon because the weather's getting colder, so I guess you'll just have to take a chance and see what it tastes like. Like to see a pic of that though...
