This is a question regarding my Bamboo Phyllostachys aureocaulis aureosulcata. I only planted it last summer but i want to know how long it will take to reach it's full size which i believe is 6m. I am using it as a screen between me and my neighbour as i just want a bit more privacy. Thanks

Often with trees and shrubs they recommend 5 years for a plant to become established. This is dependent on various factors including soil, climate, etc. so if you live in the south and prepared the soil well prior to planting it will probably be only a few years before its up over the roof!
