Euonymus japonica - Silver Queen. I had my gardner plant 6 of these plants; don't know where my gardner purchased them but they are a beautiful shrub with lots of green leaves with just a small edge of cream color at the end. New leaves are forming, three weeks after planting and they are almost all cream with just a small line of green in the middle. I am so upset because this is not the way the plant was when I bought it.

Most of my new leaves are more creamy, with just a touch of green,Judy..they will change as they mature..they are also quite slow growing, mine is only about four foot tall, but it is bushy.I have had mine about ten years..lovely foliage ,I'm sure you will be happy with them..

That's exactly what will happen. A lot of shrubs do that. The newest leaves start almost without green(i.e. chlorophyll stained) and then the viral effect is thinned out as the plant grows. Look at buxus sempervirens 'Latifolia Maculata', or some of the ilex cultivars - they all do it. Don't worry.

The leaves can be variable, but if the new, nearly all cream ones are still very small, just wait - you'll probably find they get more green as they enlarge.
