Yes it is one of them. there are several species and all make excellent compost material.
I have a short one like this, called Hidcote pink.

Agree, yes comfrey- very useful for early bees cos there's not much else in flower, ours here (when we had it) used to be covered in bees.

Hank - this one's a ground cover job, doesn't get tall - great in damp and shady areas, though it is a bit of a thug.... I used to have to dig out half of it every year cos it spreads a lot

It’s certainly a thug! It’s popping up all over the borders.
