Not really a question as such, but has anyone else tried adding photographs recently? I find it so much more difficult now that I will probably not bother again. I just tried to add some pictures of Bodnant Gardens taken in Autumn and it is just stupidly slow and badly set up.

It can be very slow. I tend to wander off for another cup of tea while it loads!!

I found the whole site to be very slow yesterday afternoon and evening. I gave up on it in the end.

Please would you persevere as I would like to see Bodnant Gardens ! Leave it half an hour and see if it's better then. Please ......

I've only uploaded a couple of photos recently but no problem. Could be the fact that it was at 7 a.m. when there is no pressure on the web in general or the site.

The problem is not the Upload speed, that has remained constant, rather the set up. To put pictures in Bodnant I went to the Gardens to Visit area and scrolled through pages until I found Bodnant. Could not find any method of going directly to that page. I uploaded 3 picures and then it returned to my Home page. So to add more images to the Bodnant Garden area I had to scroll through pages etc. When I tried adding photos from my Home page, it said that the Bodnant Garden did not exist. So lard it for a sock, I have other things to do.

Don't despair Shirley T, a few can be seen on Owdboggy's home page. Lovely pics.

Yes indeed, I have seen them now. Thanks Sheila. Bodnant is a place I really must visit next year. Ermm, what does 'lard it for a sock' mean please?

Spoonerism!

LOL
I noticed that the whole web seemed slow yesterday. Either that or my computer needs reloading. Except it was better this morning, and worse again this evening. Maybe it's the Yanks online Christmas shopping?

You're East Grinstead way, I think ? It's turning more to sleet now, just walked to local shop and I don't think it's as cold as yesterday!

Oh owdboggy. Im soooo glad you said this. I did a b;og the other day and thought how hard and how slow it was to upload photos I thought it was me.

Well I have spent ages putting some pictures up and it has got no easier. Each pictures takes half a dozen clicks and a wait for the appropriate screen to come up. Surely there is a better system than this?

I agree

I agree totally, Owdbobby. As I have not posted any pictures since March (!) I am taking advantage of being stuck indoors today to try to catch up. Like you, I am getting extremely frustrated with the number of steps that I have to go through and the length of time that each step takes. I don't have this problem uploading pictures to any other site - even the birds site is quicker. I might just pack it in soon.

Try it on Dialup and then you will see how REALLY frustrating it can be!

I'm sure. Interestingly, since I made the above moan about an hour ago it has all speeded up!
