Viburnum trilobum, American Cranberry

Viburnum trilobum, American Cranberry (Viburnum trilobum (Highbush Viburnum))

Beautiful new growth in chartruese, followed by reddish secondary leaves all going green once mature. I had to prune about half in spring but the resulting new growth was strong thick and more healthy. Maybe I'll get my first flowering next year, Followed by large clumps of very red berries. This is between my canada red chokecherries along the road.

It is like a poinsettia leaf, I hadn't thought of that, since the colors are almost all I see when I look at it. :-) Thanks.
