We nearly bought a borgainvillea from the garden centre yesterday. It was on the bargain rack and looking half dead. The original price was £25 but it was selling for £12. We thought it was a bit expensive but now after seeing this one I'm considering going back for it tomorrow, It's beautiful. Might not do quite so well in this country though, what do you think?

Joannie, this does so well perhaps cos it's fully exposed to sunshine for the best part of the day - so not sure if it would cope with all the UK rain - perhaps other GOY experts could help with advice. Incidnetally this was chopped down and cut back with such a vengenace last Autumn, as it had grown so much it completely covered that window you can see at the top !!

We didn't go back for the borgainvillea. We originally thought it would look really good growing up the side of the garage on the patio but I have a sneaky feeling it might not flourish after all, lol. Thanks for saving us £12
