Very good idea! Kasy, do you know the name of those orange flowers in the left bottom corner, please?

Thank you all for your comments:) will have to dig out some more ;-)
Katarina - the flowers you're asking about are called Eschscholzia californica - English common name is Californian poppy. They will be perfectly happy in your garden.
And the yellow flowers in the right bottom corner are of the same plant.

Thank you very much. Will have to search for those poppy seeds in the spring.

Lovely display of bright colours. I had some seed last year of the poppies and grew them in the garden. They are so easy to grow. I just scattered them into the soil.

You're welcome Katarina - they are really low maintenance plants:)
Lindak - I probably would have to scatter them in containers with other plants, but that's worth trying, lol.

At least if you grow them inside you get most of the seeds germinating. I usually buy several different sorts of plant seeds, mix them in a saucer and scatter them in the middle of the flowerbeds then lightly hoe them and lightly tread in the soil.

I was asked by my client to do a little 'wildlife meadow' with the seeds she's already got. So I did the same - have chosen the ones that said 'good for insects' - mixed them together and off they went. lol
