Experimented this year, did a bit of the Chelsea chop on this one and some of the others so we shall see if it is better or not when it finally comes into flower.

I did the Chelsea chop last year and this, the plants are so much sturdier and The flower heads just as big, [Thanks Monty] waiting for mine to colour up now and hopefully we may get some butterflies;0)

We haven't had many butterflies this year either, I did see a small orange coloured one, which I have never seen before, unfortunately it was quicker than I was and I missed snapping it before it flew away. I just didn't have my phone switched on quick enough. lol. ah well I shall maybe capture a shot on another day. The only thing is I have no idea which one it was and unless I get a good picture I shall never identify it. It was only about 1 inch in size and so very quick. I must get better prepared when sitting in the garden.

It really has taken on the cottage feel this year all the gaps have started to fill in nicely, I planted some new shrubs in the big border last year so am looking forward to being able to see them once all the flowers have died back. Big job though clearing up all the dead and dying flowers, but I shall take my time and hopefully we shall get some sunshine and good weather to make it easier.
