Agapanthus

Do we cut the stems of our giant blue agapanthus down when flowers have faded or leave them to rot first please? They were better this year than last and we can't remember what we did!

they are probably better this year because they are more mature. I leave mine til spring. The stems are good for insects to hibernate in. My garden looks awful during the winter but I think the insects are happy- well I hope they are!!
