Thank you, they are so easy to grow, it has grew about 4 foot already this year and I have it in a very large tub, I would definately recommend.....

I don't have room for it yet but hope to clear undergrowth from another area of my garden in the next year or so. This will be in the most sheltered part of my coastal garden. Can anyone tell me if Magnolia grandiflora is particularly "draught sensitive"?

Beautiful! I always thought you had to wait years for it to flower!

Semi-drought tolerant, Beattie. We usually give it a deep soaking every 2 weeks, once established, here in the desert. It's not fond of constant wind, though.

Beautiful, but one of these would be bigger than my garden! Doesn't it smell lovely too.

It was draught, not drought that I was asking about Tug! :-) Maybe you spell it draft? We usually have no shortage of either wind or rain!

Yep, draft in the States. "In America, they haven't spoken it in years!"
